Senator McCain discussed the abuses of federal funds on many unnecessary pork barrel projects. He stressed that in order for the government to save Social Security they must spend the federal budget surplus only for that purpose and not other projects. He also focused on the importance of maintaining the rule of law to support the democracy that Americans have, and to share this ideal with other nations. After his prepared remarks questions were taken from reporters. close
