This meeting of the WALL STREET PROJECT featured a discussion about Public Policy and Its Relationship to Private Enterprise.

Mr. Kennard talked about the “marriage” between Wall Street and main street. Among other issues Mr. Kemp talked about lowering tax rates. Mr. Sweeney spoke about the work that the AFL-CIO plans to do to support the programs President Clinton proposed in his State of the Union address. He also commented on the concern in the labor movement for the poor and their need for good jobs. The panelists talked about how to build the bridge between Wall Street and the poor and the need to bring about economic revitalization in the low income communities. close
