Radio and television correspondents gathered for their annual dinner and awarded the Barone award to Ms. Judd for her coverage of the Clinton investigation. President Clinton then gave a tongue-in-cheek speech about his relationship with the press as a result of the investigation and impeachment trial. In a serious moment he called for China and other countries to not just adopt, but promote, a free press. Mr. Keillor then gave a humorous address about civility in which he spoke about the late Justice Blackmun, Governor Ventura, President Clinton, and a potential run for the Senate by Mrs. Clinton. close
