Defense Secretary William Cohen and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Henry Shelton spoke to reporters about air strikes against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia taken as part of a NATO operation named Operation Allied Force. They said that the attack began with cruise missile strikes launched from Navy ships and continued with an air campaign in which the B-2 bomber flew its first combat mission. After their remarks they answered questions from reporters.
