Ms. Moseley-Braun talked about events that occurred during the Civil War era that related to slavery and her own election to the Senate. She described several events which have led to the current achievements of African-Americans. She also said that America will not tolerate ethnic cleansing anywhere including Yugoslavia. She also encouraged the graduates, saying that what they do is important to the future of America and what happens in their school is important as well. close
