Defense Department Spokesperson, Ken Bacon talked to reporters about the NATO mission against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia and the growing refugee crisis in the region. He said that after a week of air strikes NATO forces had severely damaged Yugoslavia’s surface-to-air missile support facilities and destroyed more than half of the MiG-29 fighters in the country. He also called the capture of three U.S. soldiers on the Macedonian border by Serbian troops a war crime. After his remarks he answered questions from reporters. close
