Secretary of State Madeleine Albright spoke about the future of NATO on the 50th anniversary of the alliance. She described the new missions of NATO by outlining the reasons for and methods used to attack Serbian forces in Yugoslavia which were threatening the security of the region. She also talked about the refugee crisis in the region and the NATO humanitarian efforts underway to alleviate the situation. After her remarks she answered questions from the audience. close
