Participants discussed the book Americanos: The Faces of Latino Culture. The book contains numerous photographs and poetry of Latinos. They focused on Latino culture in the U.S. and the definition of culture in society. They also discussed the military situation in Kosovo and the school shootings in Littleton, Colorado and how these conflicts arise because of differences in cultural backgrounds. They also stressed that Latinos should understand their diversity and appreciate their culture. After their discussion they took questions from the audience. close
