Participants in a forum discussed a report released today on the success of educational reform efforts and a proposal to allow public schools to structure their own programs and to allow parents and students the choice to select either public or private schools in any district. Efforts regarding choice were described in the Detroit School District, the mediocre statistics on schools across the country, and how governments had failed and how it was the Education problem. The proposal for Charter Schools was described. After the break, a panel discussion continued on school choice from a panel of experts. close
