On July 9 through 11 President Bush will meet with the heads of state from industrialized countries for an economic summit in Houston, Texas. The other countries include France, Great Britain, Canada, Japan, Italy, West Germany and the European Community. The Council on Foreign Relations held this briefing in order to provide better understanding of the issues to be discussed at the summit, including the future of the multi-lateral trading system, the changes in Eastern Europe and Europe in 1992. close
