Joseph Duggan announced the purpose of the conference, which was to discuss the role of strategic weapons in the post-Cold War era. Speakers Frank Gaffney, Daniel Graham, and Fritz Kraemer spoke of various strategic issues and forces and of the importance of the Strategic Defense Initiative. All three expressed their opposition to arms reduction and discussed the need to remain vigilant despite the end of the Cold War. close
