Senator McCain spoke about the recent Jewish Community Center shooting in Los Angeles. He expressed sympathy for the victims and stressed that public officials have failed to set a proper example for Americans. He stressed that cynicism towards government causes feelings of bigotry and hate which, in turn, lead to violence. He urged government officials to build tolerance, love and responsibility in politics and that will carry over into society. Following his remarks he answered reporters' questions about gun control, the Iowa Straw poll, and the Republican tax legislation. close
