Mr. Jacobs talked about his book, Race Manners: Navigating the Minefield Between Black and White Americans in an Age of Fear, published by Arcade. He focused on the relationship between blacks and whites and the struggle to overcome racism. He stressed that people have to get past the fear of being wrong and be honest with one another to overcome feelings of racism. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience.
