Witnesses testified about the current relationship between the United States and North Korea. Former Defense Secretary William Perry outlined the U.S. concerns regarding North Korea’s long range missiles and nuclear capability. He recommended that if North Korea was willing to cease use and creation of their nuclear arsenal, that the U.S. would proceed to move to normalization and permanent peace. If they were unwilling then the U.S. would have to use force to contain the nuclear weapons. close
