Mr. Simbeck talks about his book, Daughter of the Air: The Brief Soaring Life of Cornelia Fort, published by Atlantic Monthly Press. Killed in an airplane crash in 1943, Cornelia Fort’s career resembled that of Amelia Earhart, and Mr. Simbeck utilizes letter, diaries and historical documents to tell the story of her life. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
