U.S Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher and others released a report on mental health that said that one in five Americans suffered from some mental illness in a given year and that two-thirds of those who suffer from mental illnesses do not seek treatment. They said that they hoped this report would help remove the stigma of mental illness so that more people would seek treatment and that health care programs would ensure treatment. After their remarks they answered questions from the media. close
