Mr. Blight was part of a Civil War Symposium hosted by the National Park Service. He spoke about the National Park Service’s role in interpreting and preserving facts about the Civil War. Among the issues he discussed were ways the park service retrieves information about the war and the people who fought in it, as well as the importance the war maintains in today’s society. After his prepared remarks, he responded to audience comments and questions. close
