Marking the 10th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Senator Harkin and Vice President Gore spoke about the influence of the act. They said that the act was a milestone for civil rights and called for renewed dedication to the principles of the law. 

Vice President Gore also commented briefly on Governor Bush’s decision to pick Former Secretary Cheney as a running mate in the 2000 elections. close
