At a news conference to introduce the non-profit organization Speak Truth to Power Ms. Cuomo spoke about her book Speak Truth to Power: Human Rights Defenders Who Are Changing Our World, published by Crown Publishing. The book profiles 51 human rights advocates from around the world, who discuss their work for child labor laws, police accountability, national sovereignty, and other issues. Several of the people featured in the book also spoke, as well as Mr. Dorfman who wrote a play based on the book and some of the actors from the play. Mr. Satyarthi spoke about the education and advocacy package for schools that is being produced. Mr. Jones spoke about the ongoing work of the Speak Truth to Power project and its web site. Ms. Richardson introduced the exhibit of the work of Eddie Adams, who took the photographs for the book. Reporters were asked to hold their questions until later. close
