Mr. Traub talked about his book The Devil’s Playground: A Century of Pleasure and Profit in Times Square, published by Random House. The book chronicled the history of the New York City landmark from its days known as Longacre Square, to its recent rise as a hub of television network studios. In a speech commemorating Times Square’s 100th birthday, he talked about Times Square and its progression through stages as home to nightclubs, cabarets, speakeasies, theatres, and the corporate offices of today. close
