Dr. Breger talked about his book, Freud: Darkness in the Midst of Vision: An Analytical Biography, published by John Wiley and Sons, and showed some of the pictures from the book. He talked about the “vision” of some of Freud’s theories. The “darkness” refers to Freud’s elimination of trauma as affecting the human psyche, Freud’s mistaken ideas about women, and others. After his prepared remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
