Colonel Ahmed Al Robayan, Saudi Arabian Army, spoke to reporters about events in the Persian Gulf War, including the recapture of the Saudi town Khafji by Saudi forces with aid from U.S. forces. Colonel Robayan repeated a Saudi general’s summation that Iraqi tactics resembled characteristics of a suicide mission: the Iraqi forces were destroyed in the battle. After the fighting, he said, combat continued as Saudi forces drove the retreating Iraqi forces back with artillery and air strikes. Colonel Robayan also answered reporters' questions. close
