Washington’s Farewell Address Agreement: Notwithstanding the Resolution of the Senate of January 24, 1901, a unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing that the Senate convene at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 26, 2001; that immediately following the prayer, the disposition of the Journal and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the traditional reading of the Washington’s Farewell Address take place; and that the Chair be authorized to appoint a Senator to perform this task.
Nomination Agreement: A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing for the consideration of the nomination of John Ashcroft, of Missouri, to be Attorney General of the United States, on Wednesday, January 31, 2001.
