In honor of the posthumous publication of Ring Lardner’s memoir I’d Hate Myself in the Morning, published by Thunder’s Mouth Press, authors and actors read passages from the memoirs. Mr. Lardner was a Hollywood screenwriter who won an Academy Award at the age of 28 for “Woman of the Year.” He was one of the Hollywood Ten who were sent to prison for refusing to answer questions about their political affiliations before the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
