Mr. Cohen discussed his book Shots in the Dark: The Wayward Search for an AIDS Vaccine, published by W.W. Norton. In his book and talk, Mr. Cohen describes some of the principal obstacles to the development of an effective AIDS vaccine. He illustrates his argument that some government leaders and drug companies are not greatly interested in developing an AIDS vaccine.
