Rick Turner hosted a panel discussion with three African-American biographers and civil rights pioneer Oliver Hill. Mr. Hill is the topic of one of the biographies. The authors discussed their experiences with the subjects of their respective biographies and some of the difficulties involved with the process. Mr. Hill recounted anecdotes from his life and career. The event ended with questions from the audience.

Mr. Bailey is the co-author of Seventh Child: A Family Memoir of Malcolm X, published by Birch Lane Press. Mr. Holmes is the author of Ron Brown: An Uncommon Life, published by Wiley. Mr. Stubbs edited The Big Bang, Brown v Board of Education and Beyond: The Autobiography of Oliver Hill. close
