Mr. Phillips talked about his book The Cousins' Wars: Religion, Politics, and the Triumph of Anglo-America, published by Basic Books. In the book, Mr. Phillips traces the history of Anglo-America from its beginning as a Tudor kingdom to its eventual rise as a world hegemony. The author makes this observation by focusing on three different wars: the English Civil War, the American Revolution, and the U.S. Civil War. Mr. Phillips examines the political, social, religious, and economic underpinnings surrounding each of these wars. After his presentation he answered questions from members of the audience. close
