Mr. Gup discussed his book, The Book of Honor: Covert Lives and Classified Deaths at the CIA, published by Doubleday. The men and women depicted in the book were all killed in the line of duty and are honored, along with other deceased employees, with stars carved into a marble wall in the entrance of CIA headquarters. Because of national security concerns, their names do not appear with the stars and are kept highly classified. Mr. Gup explained how he uncovered their stories and detailed some of their stories. He took questions from the audience following his talk. close
