Ms. Bachrach talked about her book, Tina and Harry Come to America: Tina Brown, Harry Evans and the Uses of Power, published by The Free Press. The book details the lives of media moguls Tina Brown and Harry Evans. Ms. Brown has been the editor of Vanity Fair, the New Yorker, and most recently Talk magazine. Mr. Evans has been the publisher and president of Random House as well as editorial director for the New York Daily News. The two Britons, who were successful journalists in Great Britain, moved to the United States after Ms. Brown was offered the job at Vanity Fair. Ms. Bachrach suggested that the two have changed the style and quality of journalism in their powerful positions. She took questions at the end of the program from members of the audience. close
