Ambassador Burney talked about the Canadian foreign policy agenda. He said that “if war is diplomacy by other means, then we are witnessing today the most dramatic extension of the principle since World War II.” He explained military contributions the Canadians have made to Operation Desert Shield. He also spoke of Canada’s involvement in the United Nations, being a charter member of the organization. close
