“The Reader Revealed” is an exhibit that explores the relationship between the reader and books from the time of the first printed books to the present. Ms. Barron conducted a tour of the exhibit. She explained many of the exhibits, including the early uses of red ink for emphasis, a page from a Gutenberg Bible, early reading glasses, censored or banned books and complete handwritten copies of censored books, writing in the margins of rare books, and new technologies such as electronic books and CD-ROM books. close
