Mr. Perret talked about his biography of John F. Kennedy, Jack: A Life Like No Other, published by Random House. During his presentation, Mr. Perret explored John F. Kennedy’s admiration of Winston Churchill, his sexual exploits, physical ailments, family life, and his position on civil rights. The author contended that Kennedy skillfully crafted his own persona, and exceeded the plans of his father. Mr. Perret’s research materials included personal diaries, taped conversations from the Oval Office, declassified government documents, family correspondence, and interviews that have recently become available. A question and answer period followed Mr. Perret’s remarks. close
