Women’s rights activists talked about their legislative agenda and urged legislators to support, adopt and enforce international agreements and resolutions aimed at providing better conditions and equality for women around the world. Among the issues they addressed were reproductive rights and education, the plight of women in Afghanistan, and nation-building programs as part of efforts to combat terrorism. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
