Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta in a speech titled, “Securing the Supply Chain: Cargo, Logistics and the American Economy,” talked about the security of the nation’s transportation industry and infrastructure. Among the issues he addressed were federal inspections of airports, operations at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, and border security. He also talked briefly about the first all-federal security force being installed at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. close
