Eric Velasquez talked about boxer Muhammad Ali, from his childhood in Louisville, Kentucky, to his boxing career, his conversion to Islam and opposition to the war in Vietnam and finally to his battle with Parkinson’s Syndrome in his later years. Mr. Velasquez also outlines the process of illustrating books for young adults. A slide show was included in his presentation. He answered questions from the students.
