At a forum titled, “Living On and Off Welfare: Family Experiences and Ethnographic Research,” participants talked about balancing work and family, using Welfare regulations to promote marriage, the impacts of Welfare in the African-American community, and current Welfare laws. Following their presentations they answered questions from the audience. The audience consisted of Capitol Hill staffers, HUD and HHS staffers, lobbyists and media. close
