The Senate Indian Affairs Committee held a hearing on Problems Facing Native American Youth. National Drug Control Policy Director, John Walters, Assistant Interior Secretary for Indian Affairs, Neal McCaleb, and representatives of Native American Organizations provided testimony on programs designed to improve the lives of Native American youth. Some of the topics addressed were drug prevention, education programs, health care and mental health issues. close
