George Marlin discussed his latest book, Fighting the Good Fight: A History of the New York Conservative Party, published by St. Augustine’s Press.

Mr. Marlin, himself a former New York City conservative mayoral candidate, explains the history of the party and how it grew into one of the nation’s largest third parties. The author discusses Rockefeller Republicanism, John Lindsay and New York City in the 1960s, and the senatorial victory of James Buckley in 1970. After the event Mr. Marlin answered questions from members of the audience. close
