The panelists discussed whether going to war with Iraq was an appropriate decision. They said that unless the United States addresses the Palestinian issues of the area, the U.S. will have lost the political war in the Middle East. The panelists analyzed the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the prospect for a settlement in the post-war era. The committee, founded in 1981, is a nationwide organization of activists dedicated to the cause of self-determination for the Palestinian people in a Palestinian homeland. The committee works with other non-government organizations in coordination with the United Nations. close
