Judge Starr talked about his book, First Among Equals: The Supreme Court in American Life, published by the AOL Time Warner Group. In it, the author illustrates how the modern Supreme Court defends its role as first among equals in the three-part structure of U.S. government. The author examines famous cases in the Court’s history that have become examples of the lasting effect that the Supreme Court’s decisions can have. Mr. Starr has argued 25 cases before the Supreme Court and also spoke about his personal experiences there. After the presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience. close
