Professor London, director of The Public Policy Series at New York University, is joined by several distinguished scholars in a discussion of the legacy of pragmatist philosopher Sydney Hook. Mr. Hook, author of Towards the Understanding of Karl Marx, From Hegel to Marx and his autobiography, Out of Step: An Unquiet Life in the 20th Century, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Ronald Reagan in 1985. December 2002 marks the centennial of his birth. Mr. Puddington’s remarks were read by Ms. Phillips. After their remarks, the panelists responded to questions from members of the audience. close
