Hotline Editor in Chief Chuck Todd talked about Iraq news. He said that Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald (Illinois) declared that President Bush would probably order the assassination of Saddam Hussein if we had the chance. The senator may have gotten carried away. He also spoke about the 2004 campaign and that candidates were in Hollywood, Florida for a meeting of the AFL-CIO. An endorsement by labor leaders would likely help Richard Gephardt who has had strong union ties. close
