The Oxford University Union hosted a debate on the proposition, “The U.S. is the greatest barrier to world peace.” Members from the British House of Commons Labour party as well as student debaters participated. Following the debate members defeated the motion 195 to 151. The Oxford Union was founded in 1823. It’s a debating society that promotes debate and discussion of controversial issues. close
