Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov was in London for talks with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. The two met to discuss the upcoming vote in the United Nations Security Council on military action in Iraq. Minister Ivanov has said that Russia will take a “clear position” in the UN Security Council vote expected next week while reiterating Russia’s opposition to military action in Iraq. News reports suggest that Russia will not abstain from the vote next week. Following their meeting, Minister Ivanov and Secretary Straw took questions from reporters at the British Foreign Office. close
