Colonel Dryden talked about his book, The A-Train: Memoirs of a Tuskegee Airman, published by University of Alabama Press. He described the time he spent serving as a Tuskegee airman and the original purpose of the Tuskegee Airmen project and its accomplishments. Colonel Dryden talked about the legacy of the airmen and answered questions regarding his experiences.

Charles Dryden was selected in August 1941 for Aviation Cadet training at the Tuskegee Flying School in Alabama. He was in the second class of black pilots to graduate from the U.S. Army Air Corp in American history. close
