Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski addressed the European Parliament. He talked about the significance of European enlargement to include former East bloc nations, reconstruction of Iraq, and about the need for European cooperation with the U.S. Poland is the largest of 10 countries expected to join the European Union next year when membership in the EU will grow from 15 to 25 countries. The President of Poland was introduced by European Parliament President Pat Cox. President Kwasniewski spoke in Polish. An English translation is provided. close
