Akwe Amosu was interviewed about Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, who was sworn in for his second four-year term on Thursday May 29, 2003. She looked at President Obasanjo, his first term, and what’s ahead for Nigeria in light of the current political and economic situation in Africa. In his inaugural speech, President Obasanjo talked about goals to reduce poverty, and improve public services and infrastructure. He also called for debt relief, and foreign investment in Nigeria. close
