Part of the program consisted of opening telephone lines for audience comments on mandatory summer school.

At intervals during the program, live interviews were shown with students and teachers talking about history projects for National History Day. They responded to audience telephone calls.

National History Day is a year-long program that encourages junior and high school students to research and develop history presentations. The projects have been judged at the local and state level with the winners heading to the University of Maryland this week for the national judging. close
