James McManus was interviewed about his book "Positively Fifth Street: Murderers, Cheetahs, and Binion’s World Series of Poker". The author was hired by Harper’s magazine to cover the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in 2000. He earned a spot in the competition. At the same time, he covered the murder trial of Ted Binion, the billionaire casino owner who formerly owned Binion’s Horseshoe, the casino where the tournament was being held. Rick Kogan conducted the interview. James McManus also answered questions from members of the audience. close
