Mr. Michael Isikoff, Newsweek Investigative Reporter, talked about the Pre-September 11 Intelligence Report coming out later that afternoon. The report criticized the FBI, CIA, NSA, and other government agencies for failing to share information and not acting aggressively to combat the threat posed by al-Qaida, but found that none of the agencies had any specific knowledge, such as date, methods, or identities of participants, prior to the attacks. Mr. Isikoff also mentioned a section deleted from the version of the report released to the public, allegedly detailing possible foreign government involvement. He responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail.
